CHAMELEON WORSHIPPERS

ACTS 2:42-47

Chameleons are known for their ability to change colour based on their surroundings. However, they also have the unique characteristic of reluctance. They stretch out one leg, change their mind, attempt again, and carefully plant a hesitant foot, as if fearing the ground would collapse under them. This behaviour is reminiscent of a chameleon church member who may choose to go to church at certain times and cease at other times.

King David worshipped at the house of the Lord in Jerusalem, not as a “chameleon” worshipper but as a devoted follower (Psalm 122:1). Believers in the early church devoted themselves to teaching, fellowship, and prayer, meeting daily in temple courts. They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teachings and the breaking of bread (Acts 2:42, 46).

Joining others in worship and fellowship is essential for spiritual growth and unity as believers. It involves praying, studying the Scriptures, and caring for one another.
