LAMENTATIONS 3:22-23
Today I hold before us a truth that will sustain us when all other props are gone. No matter what is going on in our lives right now – stress, health problems, finances that have us in a vice grip, desperately wishing we had never married, desperately wanting to get married, children who have set an ache in our soul, the death of someone we love – whatever pain we are in, God’s steadfast love for us will never, ever end. Every day, He has brand new supplies of mercy. There is a dawn that is coming after the night. And it is all captured in the sentence, “God is faithful.”
Let us celebrate Him today with our words and our lives. And thank Him for everything. Even if the season has been tough, let us thank Him for sustaining us and being good in the midst of suffering and hardship.
