Killing Pride

Like a bacteria, pride spreads throughout our lives, weakening our resolve to put the concerns of others before us. We become numb to their pain, blind to the poor around us and hardened to souls perishing for lack of love. The only way to kill pride is die to self. 2 KINGS 5:13-14.

Filthy Rags

Our over-righteousness destroys us and perhaps even the people around us. Somewhere in our work for the Lord, our walls of pride may build up so much that we are unable to hear His voice. ISA.64:6.

Treasures in Clay Jars

Our frailty and brokenness encase the very glory of the living God. Our imperfections emit the radiance, splendor, and intensity of Almighty God. He has chosen to put His treasures in our clay jars. 2 COR.4:6-7.

Surrender

Sometimes it is hard to surrender. Hard to lay it all down. Even when you know it is what is being asked of you. The Lord is gracious. He does not leave us alone in our struggles. ROMANS 8:28-29.

Weapons of Warfare

Our weapons are grossly inadequate, even useless against the intruders of our lives. When we use them, we become overwhelmed because of our inability to cope. We might even question where God is in the midst of our problem. Depend on God’s weapons. 2 COR.10:3-4.
