BOLT AND BLAKE

HEBREWS 10:19-25

When they took first and second place in the men’s 100-meter and 200-meter races at the 2012 London Olympics, Yohan Blake and Usain Bolt of Jamaica made history. Despite their competition on the track, Bolt praised Blake for being a training companion. It was obvious that the two encouraged one another to reach new heights on the track.

As followers of Christ, it is our privilege and duty to uplift one another in our faith (Hebrews 10:24).

The church is more than just a building or a gathering place for people. It is where we, who have been reconciled to God and cleansed from sin, can support one another in becoming more like Christ.

Nobody can be a believer alone. We require the fellowship of believers if we are to live as our Lord Jesus desires. When we gather with other Christians, we should consider who we can inspire to become more like the Christ we love and serve through our words and deeds.

🙏🏼Lord, help us become encouragers to our fellow Christians.
