JOHN 15:9-17; 2 PETER 3:18
A renowned cellist from the first half of the 20th century was in the middle of his tenth decade of life and still playing the cello. He was questioned by a young reporter who asked, “At 95 years old, you are the greatest cellist who ever lived.” “Why continue to practice for six hours every day?”
“Because I believe I am progressing,” he replied.
What a positive outlook! As followers of Christ, we should never stop growing in the grace and understanding of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and stop thinking we have reached some self-declared peak of spiritual success (2 Peter 3:18).
We can be assured that He who started “a good work” in us will see it through to completion. (Philippians 1:6)
🙏Jesus, You are the all-sufficient Vine; You alone can make us fruitful.
HAPPY NEW YEAR (ADVENT SUNDAY)! MAY THIS YEAR BE A FRUITFUL ONE.
