A PLACE TO SHELTER

PSALM 61

Basically, public facilities are made by the government to improve the quality of life for the citizens. Among other things, these facilities include car parks, railroads, bridges, libraries, markets, and hospitals.

The Agege train tracks in the Agege Local Government Area of Lagos State, Nigeria, are one of the resources that the homeless have converted into shelter.

There are both physical and spiritual reasons for needing shelter. When we are in danger, God is our refuge. This was acknowledged by King David in Psalm 61:2.

The enemy’s attempts to sway our hearts and minds can be defeated if we seek refuge (shelter) in God.

Jesus Christ, the Son of God, offers us calm and safety when we are feeling overwhelmed (John 16:33).

🙏🏻 Lord Jesus, help us find peace and rest in You when we are overwhelmed.
