MATTHEW 8:1–4
On New Year’s Day, a woman phoned an elderly neighbour everyone had forgotten. That simple call marked a hopeful beginning.
In Matthew 8:1–4, a leper approached Jesus and this marked the start of a new chapter in his life. Though society kept its distance, Jesus reached out, touched him, and declared him clean. With one willing touch, Jesus restored hope and belonging.
As a new year begins, many around us still feel excluded or unseen. Following Jesus, we can choose compassion over comfort. Small acts of courage can set a life on a new path.
