1 KINGS 5:7–12
A conductor cannot produce an orchestra’s music by playing every instrument. The beauty comes when each musician contributes their part under wise leadership. Great accomplishments often happen when people recognise and value one another’s strengths.
In 1 Kings 5:7–12, Solomon was determined to build the temple, but he understood the importance of Hiram’s contribution. He arranged for Hiram to provide the timber needed for the project. Their agreement shows how wisdom can bring different abilities and resources together for a greater purpose.
We should not feel threatened when others possess skills we lack. Instead, wisdom teaches us to appreciate their strengths and work together towards godly goals. Perhaps someone around you carries the answer to a challenge you are facing. Be humble enough to listen, learn and collaborate. God can accomplish great things when willing hearts work together.
