ACTS 2:1-13
In 1904, the Welsh Revival transformed thousands of lives through ordinary believers filled with spiritual passion and boldness. Taverns emptied, prayer meetings overflowed, and many turned to God. Likewise, before Pentecost, the disciples waited prayerfully for the promised Holy Spirit. Suddenly, the Spirit came with power, filling them and enabling them to speak boldly about Christ (Acts 2:1-13).
Our text reveals that the baptism of the Holy Spirit is God’s gift to believers for effective Christian living and witness. Jesus had promised this power to His followers. The Holy Spirit brought boldness, spiritual gifts, and deeper fellowship with God.
Believers today must hunger for God’s fullness, live pure lives, and ask in faith. The Holy Spirit still empowers those who sincerely seek Him.
