PSALM 51:10
A young boy burnt his comics and some toys after failing his exams. He thought he had removed his distractions. Yet, his frustration remained—it was his heart that needed change, not the things he destroyed.
The psalmist understood this truth when he asked God to create in him a clean heart (Psalm 51:10). He knew that only God could cleanse the heart and renew the spirit within.
Sin is not just about what we see or do but the desires within us. We often try to fix outward issues, but only God can transform the heart. True change comes when we invite Him to purify our inner life.
