GENESIS 3:1–10
A child hides behind a curtain, giggling—wondering if he or she would be found. In Eden, Adam and Eve were not playing. After disobeying God, they hid in fear among the trees (Genesis 3:8). Then came God’s gentle question: “Where are you?” (Genesis 3:9).
God was not asking for information—He knew. He was reaching out, inviting them back into a relationship. We may also hide behind guilt, shame, or pride. But God still calls, not to condemn, but to restore. Stepping out of hiding is the first step to healing.
