JOEL 2:18–27
In East Africa, locust swarms can darken the sky and strip entire fields bare in minutes, leaving farmers devastated and families hungry.
The prophet Joel used a similar image to describe the judgement Judah faced for turning away from God—like locusts devouring everything in sight. Yet Joel also delivered hope: if the people repented, God would restore what had been lost.
Just as rains return after drought, God promises to renew our lives when we turn to Him. Even when our past mistakes seem to have consumed everything, He can restore abundance and joy.
🙏 May the Lord God restore all you may have lost, in Jesus’ name. Amen.
