1 PETER 2:1–10
Long ago, in many African villages, a single drumbeat could call the entire community together. Though people might be scattered across fields or in their homes, the sound united them with purpose.
In the same way, God’s call through Christ gathers His people—“a chosen people, a royal priesthood” (1 Peter 2:9)—from every tribe and nation. Though we may feel isolated in our faith, we are part of a vast spiritual community responding to the same call.
Like villagers drawn to the rhythm of one drum, we are united to declare the praises of the One who called us into His light.
