THE GENTLE ARRIVAL

ISAIAH 42:1–4

Imagine a potter shaping clay—patient, quiet, and deliberate. That is how Jesus entered our world. Not with fanfare or force, but gently and humbly. Though He was the promised Saviour, He was not born in a palace but in a stable, laid in a manger. His first visitors were not kings but shepherds. His parents, poor and unnoticed, offered the smallest temple sacrifice.

Isaiah foretold this surprising entrance. The Messiah would not shout or overpower. He would not crush the bruised or snuff out the faint. Instead, He would draw near softly—like a potter’s careful touch—restoring what is fragile.

Jesus still offers that same peace and hope today, not through might, but through mercy.

🙏 May the Lord Jesus Christ come to you afresh today. Amen.
