MATTHEW 13:53–58
When the church generator failed, a young boy stepped forward to help fix it. “He is too young,” someone muttered. Doubt hung heavy, just like in Nazareth when people questioned Jesus (Matthew 13:55). They could not see greatness in someone so familiar.
We often do the same—overlooking Jesus’ power in the ordinary. Like those in Nazareth, we question His wisdom when it comes in unexpected ways (v. 54).
Eventually, we allowed the boy to try. With a few quick adjustments, light filled the church again. The whole place lit up.
Sometimes, God sends help in humble forms. If we do not expect Him every day, we may miss the miracle in front of us.
Just as light returned to our church compound, may we open our hearts and expect the Messiah to bring power, healing, and hope—right here, right now.
🙏 May the Lord Jesus Christ visit you in unexpected ways today. Amen.
