MARKED AS HIS OWN

ISAIAH 44:1–5

In many African communities, people mark themselves with symbols—tribal marks, bead patterns, or special attire. These marks tell stories of identity, belonging, and heritage. Isaiah 44 speaks of being marked as “The Lord’s”.

God declares His people to be His. Like a child named after their ancestors or a village’s emblem proudly worn, this mark shows deep connection. It is not about ink or skin—it is about the heart. God promises to pour out His Spirit like rain on dry land, blessing our children and our future.

To belong to God is the greatest identity. Whether or not the world sees a mark on your hand, heaven sees your heart sealed by His Spirit. You are God’s child, His dwelling place, and His treasure.

So in every season—whether in joy or struggle—stand firm and say with confidence, “I am the Lord’s.”

🙏 May God always prove to you that you are His own through His love and miracles in your life. Amen.
