PSALM 23:1–6; ISAIAH 43:1
The names of the almost 3,000 victims of the World Trade Centre attacks are inscribed on bronze panels around the two pools of the National September 11 Memorial in New York City. To touch a name and commemorate a loved one, many people visit this location.
Isaiah, the prophet, talked of God’s unwavering love and concern for His people, despite their often-reluctant disconnection, stating that He has redeemed them and called them by name.
In Psalm 23, David said he would fear no evil, as God’s goodness and love will be with him throughout his life, and he will dwell in the Lord’s house forever.
God never forgets us. Regardless of our location or circumstances, He is aware of our names and steadfastly loves us.
🙏 Because God knows your name, may He reach out to you today, in Jesus’ name.
