Jesus healed those who came to Him, offering more than just physical care. In His Sermon on the Mount, he described attitudes that reflect spiritual well-being. He also spoke about finding hope and home in Him, even in times of persecution.
Jesus’s statements leave me pondering. Where do I reside? How much do I realise that my need for well-being outweighs my pressing need for material and bodily relief? Do I consider the hungry, broken, destitute, merciful, and peacekeeping heart that Jesus refers to as blessed as admirable as I yearn for a miracle?
🙏 Dear God, help us lift our eyes beyond ourselves. Let us find a new vision and source of health in the care of Christ, who heals.
