JOHN 10:25–30
He has partial hearing loss, wearing hearing aids to help. They usually work fine, but he struggles in noisy places where he cannot focus on specific voices.
The same is true of our culture: God’s gentle voice can be drowned out by a clamour of noise. Poet T.S. Eliot poses the question, “Where shall the Word be found, where will the Word resound?”
God communicates with us daily, calling out to us in times of restlessness, longing, sorrow, and joy. His primary way of speaking to us is through His Word in the Bible. When we read and listen, we can hear His love and messages for us.
🙏Thank You, Lord, for providing us with Your Word. As we spend time with You, help us to hear Your voice.
