GENESIS 45:1–8
Hundreds of thousands of travellers are left stranded at airports due to significant aircraft cancellations caused by computer system outage. Major roadways are closed by several automobile crashes during a winter storm. The individual who said they would respond “right away” has not followed through. As followers of Jesus, we have the pleasure of turning to Him for assistance, even if delays can frequently cause annoyance and irritation.
Joseph, a Bible example of patience, was sold to slave traders by jealous brothers, falsely accused, and imprisoned in Egypt. Despite this, the Lord remained with him. Later, when his brothers came to buy grain during a famine, Joseph told them that God sent him to save lives.
May we, like Joseph, find calm, patience, and perspective in all of our delays—no matter how long—as we put our faith in the Lord.
🙏Father in heaven, in all of our delays, may we trust Your faithful hand of guidance and experience. This we ask in Jesus’ name.
