MATTHEW 25:31–40
A friend cared for her mother-in-law, who longed for her feet to be washed. She hated the job, was resentful, and would ask God to hide her feelings. However, one day, she felt honoured to wash her mother-in-law’s feet, as she felt like she was washing Jesus Himself. This experience changed her grumbling attitude and made her feel more connected to her mother-in-law.
Jesus encouraged His sons and daughters to serve Him by visiting the sick or feeding the hungry, etc. We can serve Jesus by visiting those in prison or providing clothing to the needy, demonstrating His love and compassion for those in need.
May we, today, follow in the footsteps of one of my acquaintances who used to wonder, “Are you Jesus in disguise?” whenever he met someone new.
