ACTS 20:17–20, 32, 35–38
On the eve of my son’s departure to attend university, I felt a lump in my throat saying goodbye.
Paul, after teaching the Ephesians for three years, felt a sense of loss and abandonment. He decided to leave them behind, but he had advice for the Ephesians. They would continue to be trained by God through the word of His grace, and God would always be with them.
Saying goodbye to loved ones, whether they be children we send off to college or other family members who move away, can be rather tough. They leave our influence behind and begin living their own lives. We can have faith that God has them in His hands when we release them. More than we could ever hope to, He can continue to mould their lives and provide for their actual needs.
🙏Lord, please give us the confidence to know that everyone we love who is far away from us is under Your careful watching care.
