SADNESS REVERSED

JOHN 20:1–18

Jim and Jamie Dutcher, renowned filmmakers, describe wolves as happy and playful but mourn a pack member’s death for weeks, causing their tails to droop and their howls to express their anguish as they approach the scene of the pack member’s death.

Grief is a powerful emotion, especially after the death of a loved one or a treasured hope. Mary experienced grief when Jesus died a cruel death on the cross. However, when she saw the resurrected Jesus, her grief turned into joy, and she shared the news that she had seen the Lord (John 20:18).

To bring freedom and life, Jesus came into our immoral world. His resurrection honours the fact that He completed the task He set out to undertake. He is alive, and we may rejoice because of His resurrection and spread the good news!

🙏Jesus, we celebrate your resurrection and the new life we can experience in you.
