PSALM 139:1–12
When couples have grown more accustomed to one another’s speech patterns and way of thinking, they will occasionally finish each other’s sentences. Sometimes, they might only need to say a word or a glance to convey an idea.
That has a certain comfort to it, similar to an old pair of shoes that people still wear because they fit so well. Their connection has taken on a life of its own, with signs that come from years of trust and love.
God loves us with a deep familiarity, as David wrote in Psalm 139:4.
Imagine a quiet conversation with Jesus, who knows the deepest matters of our hearts, even when we struggle to get words out. This comforting knowledge that we do not have to get our words just right allows us to talk to God, as He loves us and knows us well enough to understand.
🙏Thank you, Lord, for understanding us completely!
