GOOD, BAD, AND UGLY

1 SAMUEL 20:35–42; HEBREWS 13:5

I got a text from a close friend that said, “I am so glad we can tell each other the good, the bad, and the ugly!” After many years of friendship, we have figured out how to share both our successes and our disappointments. Since we acknowledge that we are far from perfect, we celebrate one another’s victories as well as share our own challenges.

David and Jonathan formed a strong friendship. They shared fears and shared experiences.

Good friends remain with us despite changing circumstances and may even guide us to God during challenging times, preventing us from straying from our Lord.

Real friendships are divine gifts, embodying the perfect Friend who remains loyal through all challenges, as the Lord promises never to leave or forsake us (Hebrews 13:5).

🙏Lord Jesus, we thank You for the good friends You have placed in our lives, but above all, we thank You for Your friendship.
