2 CHRONICLES 20:13–22
French artist Henri Matisse, during his final years, experimented with a new style, creating colourful, large-scale paintings using paper instead of paint. These bright images were crucial to him, as he was often confined to his bed due to cancer.
Being in the valley, where dread overshadows everything else, is a common experience for the people of Judah when an invading army approaches. The king prayed for God’s response, and God promised to be with them, urging them to face their enemies.
Judah’s army arrived at the battlefield after enemies destroyed each other, collecting abandoned equipment, clothing, and valuables. They gathered to praise God and named the place “The Valley of Berakah,” meaning blessing.
God is with us while we experience the darkest moments of our lives. It is possible to find blessings in the valleys, thanks to Him.
🙏Dear God, help us not to be afraid when we encounter difficulty.
