EXODUS 17:8–15
The Bible’s stories often leave us wondering, as seen in Moses’ decision to hold up God’s staff at the top of a hill during a battle. The Israelites won when Moses raised his hands, while the Amalekites won when he lowered them. Aaron and Hur also played a crucial role in their victory.
Hur, a key figure in Israel’s history, is often overlooked, but his role is significant.
This reminds us that unseen heroes matter. Leaders may be mentioned in history books or praised on social media, but those who render quiet, faithful service are not overlooked by God. They can also go down in history.
God uses men, even when their tasks seem insignificant. Let us appreciate and thank the unseen heroes who assist us.
🙏Thank you, Father, for making each of us and giving us special gifts. Assist us to dutifully serve you and others, and appreciate those you have sent to assist us.
