1 KINGS 18:41–45; JAMES 5:16
In the words of Kenneth E. Hagin, prayer is our “spiritual oxygen.
Refusal to take in oxygen or a lack of it can damage our hearts or brains.
God often moves through our prayers to accomplish His work. Despite His promises, we must pray.
Elijah believed that God desires us to participate in His work through humble, persistent prayer, regardless of our limitations. The letter of James emphasises the power of righteous prayer and its ability to produce wonderful results, reminding us of Elijah’s humanity.
The question is whether we will be faithful in persistent and persevering prayer, as God will undoubtedly answer prayer.
Serving God through faithful prayer, as Elijah did, is a privilege that allows us to be in the front row of a miracle at any moment.
🙏Lord Jesus, may we never give up if we have not received our answers yet. Help us to remain in the place of prayer.
