MATTHEW 14:13–23
I was helping in the children’s church, and it was a busy morning. There were perhaps a dozen small toddlers playing and talking. The place was so busy that I had to prop the door open because it was getting stuffy. When he thought no one was watching, a small child took advantage of the opportunity to sneak out the door. I was following him closely, and I was not shocked to see him running straight into his father’s embrace.
That child sneaked away to be with his father, doing what we all need to do when life gets hectic and challenging.
Jesus repeatedly assisted people but never became overwhelmed. He used prayer to strengthen his relationship with God. How are you doing? Do you spend time alone with God to experience His power and satisfaction?
Our strength and intellect are revitalised as we get closer to God!
