GOOD REPLICA

1 Thessalonians 1:1–10

The children’s minister announced a game called imitation, where children named creatures or persons and had to act out their actions. Chicken was chosen, followed by an elephant, a football player, a ballerina, and finally Jesus. Despite initial hesitation, a six-year-old smiled and accepted acting like Jesus, causing the congregation to applaud. The game was a fun and interactive activity.

Our calling is to emulate Jesus in everyday life, following God’s example as beloved children and embodying love, just as Christ loved us and sacrificed himself for us as a fragrant offering to God (Ephesians 5:1–2).

Paul praised Jesus’ followers in Thessalonica for their faith in challenging times, stating they became imitators of the Lord and a model for believers in Macedonia and Achaia (1 Thessalonians 1:6–7).

The life of Jesus within us gives us the strength and ability to live in this world as He did, sharing the good news of God’s love and welcoming everyone with open arms.
