WHO ARE WE WORKING FOR?

ECCLESIASTES 4:4-16

Henry worked 70 hours a week, loving his job and providing a substantial paycheck for his family. One evening, he received a promotion to the highest position in his company. However, his children had grown up, and his wife had found a career, leaving the house empty. He had no one to share the good news with.

Solomon emphasises the importance of maintaining a balance between work and life, avoiding workaholism and being lazy. He advises not to sacrifice relationships for success, as they are crucial for making life meaningful, rewarding, and enjoyable.

By choosing to allocate our time properly, we can learn to live to work and not the other way around. As we seek the Lord and put our faith in Him as our Provider, He can grant us this wisdom.
