HE TRAINS MY HANDS

EXODUS 4:10-17; PSALM 144:1

Before a game, it was reported that former NBA player David Wood read Psalm 144:1 and exclaimed, “You see? It is as if God has written this verse just for me! He trains my hands to catch rebounds and my fingers to shoot!” David had discovered that God accepts us as we are and gives us the ability to carry out His calling. He felt called to play basketball.

When we believe we have nothing to contribute, we can quickly write ourselves off as being of little use to God. Moses felt inadequate (Exodus 4:10). But God’s sufficiency overcame his deficiency (v. 12).

God only asks that we carry out His will. The rest will be handled by Him. We are in His excellent hands.

When God calls us to a work, He also gives us the power to do it.

🙏🏻 Here we are, Lord, ready to serve You in whatever way You desire.
