JOHN 4:7-14
Visitors to hot areas often get dehydrated without noticing it. The dry climate and intense sunlight, particularly in the mountain regions, can quickly deplete the body’s fluids. That is why it is strongly advised that people drink a lot of water.
Water is often used in the Bible as a symbol of Jesus as the Living Water who satisfies our deepest needs. So it is fitting that one of Jesus’ most memorable conversations occurred at a well (John 4:1-42).
As a result of this conversation, the woman and many others in her village came to believe that Jesus was the Messiah, the Saviour of the world.
We cannot survive without water. We cannot truly live now or in the future without the living water that comes from realising Jesus Christ as our Saviour. Today, we can drink of His life-giving water.
🙏🏼 Gracious and Almighty Redeemer, Source of all that endures, quench our thirst with living water, clear and pure living water.
