ACTS 10:38
“The good you do today may be forgotten tomorrow. Do good anyway. Give the world the best you have and it may never be enough. Give your best anyway. For you see, in the end, it is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway.”
– Mother Teresa
In the book of Acts, Luke summarized Jesus’ earthly ministry by saying that He “went about doing good” (Acts 10:38).
What does the Bible mean when it tells us to “do good”? Jesus did good by teaching, healing, feeding, and comforting the people. As His followers, Christians are called to reach out to others, including those who do not love them (Luke 6:27-35). They are to do good to their enemies without expecting anything in return.
Believers are also expected to do good to fellow believers (Galatians 6:10). They are not to let ill treatment, self-interest, and position to prevent them from doing good and sharing what they have with others.
If we want to be like Jesus, we should seek daily the good things we can do for others in His name. When we do good, we will be pleasing the Master and drawing people to Him (Matthew 5:16).
Imitate Jesus! Go about doing good!!
🙏 Lord Jesus, what good thing can we do today for others?
