PSALM 133:1-3
Elephants are smart, emotional, self-aware and highly social creatures. As their herds move, they will walk at the pace of their slowest member. Perhaps they are the equivalent of the US marines slogan, ‘Leave no one behind’.
As disciples we have a responsibility to ensure we are united and we care for our own.
Christian unity is that unique grace of the Holy Spirit which allows believers from all ethnicities, nationalities, personalities, and backgrounds to be of one heart, mind, and spirit in our love for Jesus Christ and in our commitment to the gospel. When believers live in unity, it reveals the life-changing power of the gospel to a watching world.
Our unity is grounded in our understanding of the Kingdom of God and His triumphant victory over every power and principality, both on the earth and under the earth.
May we travel like the elephants, united and leaving no one behind.
