Square pegs in round holes. This idiom gives a graphic image of something that cannot fit and dates back to about 1800AD. The message is that once we place people or things wrongly, we get a wrong result.
When we have problems that seems insurmountable, we should not place the problem between us and God. Rather we place God between the problem and us.
