As we look forward, are we viewing the future with fear – or faith? We should move forward with confidence, based on the eternal truth of God’s Word.
Let us consider Joshua. After forty years in the wilderness, the Israelites were finally ready to enter the Promised Land when Moses died! God told Joshua to lead His people across the Jordan River into the land He was giving them. He would be with him and not fail him or abandon him.
God had promised His people a land flowing with milk and honey. But first they would have to fight!
God fortified Joshua for battle by exhorting him three times, “Be strong and courageous” (Joshua 1:6,7,9). By faith, Joshua led the Israelites across the Jordan to a miraculous triumph over Jericho and to victory after victory throughout the land!
