FAITH WILL MOVE THE HEART OF GOD. YOU HAVE TO BELIEVE YOU CAN MAKE IT.
ROMANS 4:18-22.
God says we cannot please Him without faith. We must have faith to believe in
Him, faith to believe He is there when we pray. When we believe His promises
that is faith. This is how we please Him. Faith is what we must have to believe
each of His promises in the Bible. We must believe to receive the promises that He has for us there.
Paul in his letter to the Romans held up Abraham as a model of faith. Abraham is called “the father of all who believe” (Rom 4:11) because of his whole-hearted
commitment to God. Faith is not simply an intellectual matter like those that say – “Oh, I believe that.” Faith for Abraham was not just his intellect, but involved his will and entire self as he clung to the God that revealed Himself to him in the desert. Abraham demonstrated obedient faith to God. When God told Abraham to do something – like leaving his native land (Gen 12:1) or sacrificing his only
son (Gen 22:2) – he obeyed immediately. Abraham had a trusting faith that God would do as he had promised. Abraham’s faith made him acceptable and pleasing to God, for of him it was said, “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness” (Rom 4:3). Finally, in addition to his obedience
and trusting faith, Abraham’s faith was active. His faith formed his thinking,
desires, emotions and actions.
My prayer today is that you will have the faith of Abraham, blessing future
generations through your obedience to God!
