LUKE 22:24–31
At a charity kitchen, a volunteer quietly washed dishes after everyone had gone. No one applauded, yet her humble service kept the work going. In God’s kingdom, greatness is often found in unnoticed service.
In Luke 22:24–31, the disciples argued about who was the greatest. Jesus corrected their thinking, teaching that true greatness is not about status or authority but about serving others. Some Apostles, like St Bartholomew, James son of Alphaeus and Simon the Zealot though scarcely mentioned in Scripture, faithfully belonged among the twelve and witnessed Christ’s resurrection.
Your work may seem small or unnoticed, but God sees and values faithful service. Do not measure your worth by applause, titles or recognition. Keep serving Christ faithfully, knowing that heaven notices what people overlook.
