ISAIAH 40:21-31
The largest land portrait in the British Isles began as an empty field in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Wish is a work of art created by Jorge Rodriguez-Gerada and is constructed out of wooden pegs, lots of sand, and other random materials like grass, stones, and string.
Only the artist initially had a vision of how the piece would turn out. He enlisted the help of volunteers and hired workers to transport and position the materials. They did not know that something extraordinary was going to come up as they worked. Still, it did. It does not seem like much when viewed from the ground. However, from above, visitors can see a massive painting of a little girl’s happy face.
Greater things are being done in the world by God. The artist who views the finished image is Himself. It is being accomplished through us, His “fellow workers” (1 Corinthians 3:9). God reminded His people that He sits above the circle of the earth and spreads out the heavens like a curtain through the prophet Isaiah (Isaiah 40:22). We move forward in faith even though we cannot yet see the entire picture because we are a part of an incredible work of art that is being made on earth but will be best appreciated from heaven.
God is working through us to produce a masterpiece.
