MICAH 3:5–12
The Fall of Enron (a large American energy company) in 2001 exposed how corrupt leadership destroys trust and livelihoods. Executives manipulated accounts for personal gain, leaving thousands jobless and pensions lost. It remains a warning that greed and dishonesty bring ruin.
Micah 3:5–12 rebukes Israel’s leaders for twisting God’s word to suit themselves. They favoured those who bribed them and threatened those who did not. God declared He would withdraw His guidance, leaving them in darkness, and foretold Jerusalem’s destruction because of their corruption.
Today, Christians must reject dishonest motives and value integrity in leadership. Whether guiding families, workplaces, or churches, we are called to serve with truth and justice. Our influence should lead others to God’s love, not selfish gain.
🙏Walk in truth, reject corruption, live in God’s justice.
