JUDE 1:9–11
An experienced fisherman on Niger River who ignored changing currents was swept far from his intended course. He did not drift all at once; it happened gradually. In the same way, spiritual backsliding often begins with small compromises before leading to serious consequences.
Jude 1:9–11 warns against following the examples men whose jealousy, greed, and rebellion brought God’s judgement. Their lives remind us that turning away from God’s truth leads to sorrow, while obedience brings His favour.
Examine your heart daily and reject every form of compromise. Depend on God’s grace to remain faithful and steadfast, knowing He gives strength to those who seek Him.
