MATTHEW 10:16–22
In 1536, William Tyndale was strangled and burned at the stake simply for translating the Bible into English so everyday people could read God’s Word. His sacrifice demonstrates that sharing the truth often comes at a personal cost.
In Matthew 10:16–22, Jesus sends His disciples out to preach, warning them that they would face hostility, civil trial, and betrayal. He urges them to remain wise as serpents and innocent as doves, promising salvation to those who endure.
Today, proclaiming the Gospel still brings persecution and opposition in various parts of the world. Yet, as Christ’s followers, we are called to stand firm, rely on His Spirit, and boldly share His love despite the pressures surrounding us.
