STRENGTH IN FELLOWSHIP

GALATIANS 1:18-24

After the 2020 Lekki flood incidents in Lagos, Nigeria, many residents survived and recovered because neighbours, churches and volunteers supported one another with food, shelter and transport. Their unity showed that no one thrives alone. In Galatians 1:18-24, Paul visited Peter after his conversion, seeking fellowship and encouragement despite his knowledge and spiritual calling.

Paul recognised the value of godly companionship. Though Peter was a fisherman with little formal education, Paul still spent time with him. This reminds us that every believer has something important to offer in God’s kingdom.

Believers should avoid pride, discrimination and isolation. We grow stronger through fellowship, encouragement and mutual support. Never look down on others, for all we have is by God’s grace.

🙏 May the Lord strengthen our fellowship and keep us united in love and grace. Amen.
