2 THESSALONIANS 3:1–5
Imagine an African village during a long drought. The elders gather before sunrise, asking God for rain and strength. They cannot control the clouds, but they can faithfully call upon the One who can. Their example pictures the ministry of prayer: standing before God on behalf of others.
In 2 Thessalonians 3:1–5, Paul asks believers to pray for the spread of the Gospel and for protection from evil people. He reminds them that the Lord is faithful and will strengthen and guard His servants.
Likewise, we should pray for pastors, missionaries and other Christian leaders. They need courage, wisdom and protection as they serve God. Rather than simply expecting them to lead, let us faithfully support them through prayer.
🙏May the Lord strengthen your faith, protect the leaders you lift up before Him, and make your prayers fruitful in His service.
