PSALM 148:1–6
Over the Gulf of Mexico, the sun was setting. Many people, mainly strangers, flocked to the shore to see this occurrence. Just as the sun descended completely behind the horizon, the audience broke out in applause.
The book of Psalms shows that people respond to nature’s beauty by praising its Creator, as seen in Psalm 148. The beauty of nature speaks to our souls, capturing our attention and turning our focus to the Creator of beauty itself.
The magnificence of God’s enormous creation can make us stop and consider what really matters. In the end, it serves as a reminder that there is a Creator hiding behind the magnificent entry and departure of the day—one who loved the world so much that He ventured into it in order to redeem and rebuild it.
