PHILIPPIANS 1:12–18
The bridge leading to a pastor’s church was washed out, leaving residents on the other side stranded. The church suffered because many members lived on the wrong side of the river. Despite the crisis, the church used the opportunity to expand its children’s home and provide housing for more orphans.
Paul, facing the wrong side of freedom, praised his situation in a letter to the Philippi church, stating that his chains had aided in the spread of the gospel and increased confidence in Jesus.
The pastor and the apostle Paul encountered challenges, but God showed them new methods to deal with their problems. What might God be doing in our difficult situation right now?
God is at work in the mess. That is the message of the Bible.
