MATTHEW 7:9-11
Since being a father, I have had a glimpse of how God must feel about us. It is difficult to love our children unconditionally, regardless of their acts, and to wish them nothing but the best, regardless of their choices and decisions.
As I see my children grow up, I know that missing out on a bond with them would be devastating. Knowing how much more our heavenly Father loves us, I can only imagine how heartbreaking it must be for Him to have His children, us, reject Him.
This Father’s Day, men should strive to be the best fathers they can be by loving their children. Children should honour their fathers and cherish the time they spend with them. But most significantly, let us thank our heavenly Father for loving us as His children and for willingly giving His Son for us.
Fathers have a wonderful opportunity to leave a legacy of faith with their children. Are we doing anything to achieve that?
HAPPY FATHERS’ DAY!
🙏🏼Lord Jesus, bless our fathers.
