JOHN 11:17–27
After the 2023 Turkey–Syria earthquake, rescuers pulled survivors from collapsed buildings days later, when hope had nearly faded. Each rescue showed that life can emerge even from what looks like final destruction. Such moments echo a deeper truth: Christ brings life where all seems lost.
When Jesus met Martha, Lazarus had already been in the tomb for four days. Martha expected resurrection only at the last day, but Jesus declared that He was the Resurrection and the Life. He revealed that life is not merely future but present in Him. Martha responded with faith, recognising Him as the Son of God (John 11:27).
This passage invites us to trust Christ in hopeless situations. Like those rescued from the rubble, we may feel buried by life’s burdens, yet Jesus still calls us to believe. His power brings renewal, restores hope, and proves that nothing is beyond His reach.
🙏 May the Lord Jesus fill you with living hope, renew your strength, and grant you peace, now and always. Amen.
