1 THESSALONIANS 4:1-12; ROMANS 12:1-2
A Christian employee discovered that colleagues were falsifying company records to receive undeserved payments. Though joining them would have brought financial gain, she refused and continued to work honestly. Her decision shows that true holiness is revealed when we choose what pleases God, even when compromise seems profitable.
Paul taught the Thessalonians that God’s will was their sanctification. They were to avoid sexual immorality, control their bodies in holiness and honour, and live in a manner that pleased God.
As Christians, our faith must influence our conduct at work, at home and in society. We must reject dishonesty, immorality and every form of compromise. When no one is watching, may our choices still honour Christ and reflect our commitment to holiness.
